WEST Sussex Showjumper Alex Hempleman is enjoying a successful career as a Professional Showjumper producing horses for some of the country's top showjumpers  including William Funnell, Duncan Inglis and Norwegian based Morton Aasen.....

Alex Hempleman's horses enjoy regular success at events such as "Horse of the Year show" and Young Horse Showjumping Championships held in Lanaken, Belgium. 

Alex is based at Stone House Stables in West Sussex, where he rides and produces competition horses for owners and breeders.  Alex set up his own business over 4 years ago producing young horses for showjumping.

Alex was brought up around horses, working with them and riding  from an early age. He has been involved in the equestrian world from very young but he started his career at the age of 17 working for Olympic Showjumper Grant Cashmore (New Zealand). Here he was a dedicated rider and groom for Grant, helping him at shows, home and abroad.

Working for Grant Cashmore gave him the knowledge and the inspiration to want to work for himself
and start his own business. He classes his years with Grant as "University".

It was in early 2005 Alex took the plunge and set up on his own. It was never going to be easy to start with in such a competitive market, but with the help of training clinics and meeting various people out on the show circuit he began to get very involved and found people started to send horses his way. Alex now runs a professional business producing young horses to top level and is busier than ever. 

Alex qualified for Hoys in 2006 and 2007, for  the 6 year old class, then the 7 year old class the following year on a horse that he broke and produced himself. He also qualified  an owners horse for the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken, Belgium in 2007. He qualified at the Young Horse Festival at Addington. 

Alex is highly motivated and very ambitious, he always works with a positive attitude. He enjoys travelling up and down the country competing at shows, following qualifiers, premier shows and regional finals, both in the winter and summer.
